February 15, 2025 — The Design Network’s newest show, “ALT Home with Jillian Rose Reed,” recently showcased innovative pet-friendly living spaces in an episode titled “From Cats to Co-Living.”
Host Jillian Rose Reed visited the remarkable home of Alan, known in the cat community as “Catio Guy.” His residence features thoughtfully “catified” spaces throughout, including a master bedroom and bathroom specially designed for feline comfort, alongside an impressive outdoor cat patio (catio).
During their conversation, Alan and Jillian highlighted the importance of cat mental health. While indoor cats typically enjoy longer lifespans than their outdoor counterparts, they can develop behavioral issues without proper stimulation. The episode emphasized how indoor cats benefit from enrichment through interactive play, strategically placed cat trees near windows, and access to protected outdoor environments like Alan’s custom catio.
