Serendipitous encounters with remarkable individuals can profoundly enrich our lives. That’s exactly what happened in February when I connected with Carolina Diz from The Dodo. Carolina reached out about creating a video highlighting my catio work, and the experience was a true delight. Her skilled interviewing and storytelling transformed my bumbling words into a fun, informative, and ultimately viral video.
To express my gratitude, I commissioned a painting of Carolina’s internet-famous dog, Rothko (@rothko_thedoggo). After an extensive search, I found the perfect artist for the job – Andy Watkiss (@infurno_pet_portraits), a full-time firefighter in Coventry, England, who paints on the side out of his love for animals and art. Andy’s ability to capture the essence of each furry subject is simply breathtaking.
